Following the successful and widely acclaimed release of his single “Life” (150k views on YouTube, with appearances on “Sélection RFI Musique,” “FIP Reggae,” and “Nova Lyon” among others), which is only one of the many tunes he will be dropping with his forthcoming eponymous album, Daman now releases a second single – Hurt – featuring the iconic and timeless figure of the Jamaican reggae scene: Max Romeo.

Beyond a teenage dream, Hurt constitutes a powerful collaboration, with Max Romeo lending his legendary voice to Daman’s lyrics.

Recorded in Paris at the Nojoke Studio, this one drop single performed in the purest of traditions by Roots Heritage, relays lyrics denouncing capitalistic destruction. Against the oppression of this
capitalistic system leading our system to the brink of self-destruction, Daman urges us to take back control of our lives: “Take the Power Back!”
